Cake Plate & Platter w/ Dip Combo Serving Dish

This time of year, there are all kinds of parties and activites to enjoy.  Whether you are hosting a party or just attending one, I'm sure you have had to prepare some kind of dish to share.  Every dish needs that perfect platter for presentation!  However, storage is not unlimited in my house.  What if you had a serving dish that served two purposes?
A Cake Plate and a Serving Platter with a Dip Bowl!

You will need a plate, the flatter the better.  Check the bottom of the plate to make sure it is attractive.  This will be the top when you use your dish as a cake plate.  You will also need a small bowl.  I used a footed pedestal bowl, but it doesn't have to be.

Place the plate right side up on your work surface.  Put a ring of E-6000 glue around the bottom of your bowl.  Center and glue in place to your plate.  Allow to dry completely.

That's it!  Now your serving dish is ready to use!
Use it like it is for chips & dip or veggies & hummus.
Turn it over and use it as a cake plate to serve your pies, cakes, or cupcakes!

Save storage in your cabinet and make your own reversible serving dish!
