Summer just flew by and school has started for another year. I'm not sure if I was really ready to get back into our crazy schedule, but my girls were ready to get back to school. They didn't even seem nervous that they would be at a new school and have to adjust to a whole new routine. They were ready to jump in there. My middle daughter informed me that she is already friends with just about everyone in her class. Not surprising! She will talk to anyone that will listen or even just stand near her. My oldest is a bit more quiet when you first meet her, but she still had a great day and is excited to learn to speak Chinese. She was also excited that she gets to be the line monitor. I guess that means she gets to write down the names of people who make trouble in line in her little notebook. Oh brother! I can see her taking this job home with her! Her sisters better watch out!
The best part of this new school? Sleeping in an extra hour! The girls got on the bus at 6:51am last year, this year we didn't even wake up until 7am. Loved it! Plus the girls were excited that they didn't have to wear uniforms either.
I was worried that their little sister was really going to be lost without her big sissies, but we jumped back into our old routine and spent the day going to the gym and running errands. I think we may have tried to jam too much in, because she was asleep before we made it home. Quick nap and we were off to take the girls to two hours of dance class. It's going to be tough to fit all of this in along with homework. I think this year is going to be busy! Three days are filled with two hours of dance and we haven't even figured out if we can fit in soccer practice and games. I really have no idea how we are going to fit it all in when we have a third girl adding in her own activities!
Good luck to all the kids and teachers starting school! I hope everyone has a great first day and is lucky enough to get a teacher that knows how special they are!
