Life is crazy for a crafter this time of year! So many gifts to make and the big day is quickly approaching! My list of projects seems to be growing rather than getting shorter. Too many ideas, too little time! It's not going to change how I do things though. I love to make gifts for the people in my life. I'm not sure if people realize how much extra time and effort goes into these homemade gifts. I do hope they realize that they are special and loved. I hope you find the perfect gift for the loved ones in your life!
Do you know a wine drinker?
These wine glasses are so cute! I recently saw them at a craft fair and I just had to make them. They've been called Redneck Wine Glasses, but I wanted mine to be a bit classier so I'm calling them my Shabby Chic Wine Glasses! Plus, with the lid on they are spill proof wine glasses! Such a plus, especially after one too many glasses of wine. ;-)
You will need a mason jar and a taper candleholder. I found my candleholder at the dollar store.
Use E6000 adhesive to glue the candleholder to the bottom of your mason jar. Allow to dry completely.
To make it a little bit more shabby chic, we are going to decorate the lid. Cut a piece of scrapbook paper to cover the lid insert. I added a letter to the middle, but you can add a sticker or a star or other shape cut out of coordinating scrapbook paper to decorate it. Use a foam brush to add Mod Podge to the lid and stick your circle onto it. Allow to dry and then paint on three more coats to the top of the lid, allowing it to dry between each coat.
Screw your lid on for storage and remove when ready to use.
This would be a cute gift filled with candies and paired with a bottle of wine.
