Jewelry & Ring Holder Catch All

Do you have a bunch of jewelry that ends up on your dresser?  I have a stand up mirror that opens up to a jewelry case.  I love it, but I still have some rings, earrings and watches that I wear everyday that end up on my dresser.  I may take them off, but put them back on in the morning so I want them accessible.  This cute little catch all is the perfect answer.  Easily holds your small jewelry, loose change, or any other little items you don't want to get lost!  It would also be the perfect gift for the jewelry lover in your life.

I found a small appetizer sized plate at the dollar store.  I used a paper napkin I had, but you could also use scrapbook paper.  You will also need a finial for a lamp or curtain rod.  You could also use a small figurine as well.  I thought about using a small crystal angel that I had seen at the dollar store.  Her wings were perfect to hang rings on.  Then I found this finial at an estate sale for a quarter and decided to use it instead.

Cut your napkin or paper into a circle to fit in the bottom of your plate.  Adhere it with mod podge.  Then layer a coat of mod podge to the back of the paper.  Let dry.  Layer 2 more coats of mod podge, allowing to dry between each.

Decide where you would like to place your finial.  I decided to put it towards the back of the plate, but you could also put it in the middle.  Use E6000 to adhere your finial in place.  Allow to dry.  Your jewelry catch all is ready to use!  Hang rings and bracelets on your finial and put watches and earrings on the plate.  If you find a taller statue figurine, you could also use it to hang your necklaces.
