My Mom has been making smoothies way before it was the "In" thing to do! My sister, brother, and I would get home from school for our after school smoothie snack. Now my kids love to go to Mimi's house for her smoothie and popcorn snacks. There are so many great fruits and juices to experiment with, you really just can't go wrong with any kind of smoothie.
Red, White, and Blueberry Smoothie
Recipe by Love Bug Living
1 c strawberries (red)
2 bananas (white)
2 c blueberry juice (blue)
Add all ingredients and blend until smooth.
I prefer frozen bananas and strawberries since it makes it thicker without having to use ice. Bananas about to go bad? This is the perfect time to peel and freeze them. Ready for you whenever you are ready for them!
If using fresh fruit, add crushed ice to thicken.
