Pinterest Father's Day - Parmesan Bloomin' Cheese Bread

If you read yesterday's post, you know we had a Pinterest inspired Father's Day with some yummy recipes to help us celebrate Dad.  If you missed it, you can read about our delicious breakfast of Creme Brulee French Toast!

Now I'm going to share with you our yummy appetizers!  I was inspired by the Bloomin' Onion Bread posted by The Girl Who Ate Everything!  We decided to change it up just a bit to fit our tastes (really, so the kids would like it too).  Also, I forgot to buy green onions.

Parmesan Bloomin' Cheese Bread

Ingredients:
1 unsliced loaf sourdough bread
12-16 ounces Mozzarella cheese, thinly sliced
1/2 cup butter, melted
1/8  - 1/4 cup grated parmesan cheese
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.  Cut the bread lengthwise and widthwise without cutting through the bottom crust. This can be a little tricky going the second way but the bread is very forgiving.

Place on a foil-lined baking sheet. Insert cheese slices between cuts. Drizzle melted butter over bread.  Sprinkle parmesan cheese on top. Wrap in foil; place on a baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. Unwrap the bread and bake 10 more minutes, or until cheese is melted.  Serve hot.
Black Bean & Corn Guacamole
We also served our favorite guacamole.  It's so easy to make and eveyone loves it!  It's great for parties or family gatherings.  Even the kids love this recipe!  Enjoy and I hope your family loves these recipes as much as mine does!
