It's a Pink Weekend!

Fierce isn't an Age.  It's an ATTITUDE!

This weekend has been the weekend of Pink!
It started bright and early on Saturday morning at the Lady Track Shack 5k.
I try to run this race every year.  It is an all women's 5k that raises money for breast cancer research.

My running group always tries to get a good group of girls out to run.  This year we added to our group by including our daughters.  Of course it wouldn't be a race unless we made matching shirts to run in.  In honor of breast cancer awareness, they had to Pink!  We are called the Fierce Run Group.  With so many generations running, we wanted to incorporate that into our shirt saying.
We came up with Fierce isn't an age.  It's an ATTITUDE!

Finishing her 2nd 5k!

This was my daughter's second time running this race.  She is 8 and has fun running in races.  I'm sure it comes from watching her mom and dad compete.  She ended up beating her last time by 5 minutes with a time of 39:16!  Go E!

What a finish in the kids run!

A got into the action in the half mile kids run.  She did great, keeping up with some of the bigger kids.

Littlest Love Bug in her first race!

Even our littlest Love Bug got into the race.  She was so excited to be running!  Although she did get a little nervous as she got closer to the finish line and all of the cheering.  Isn't she the cutest?!

It was such a great morning with all of our friends and being able to run for a great cause!

Dressed in pink and ready for Pinkalicious!

The pink weekend continued on Sunday afternoon, when the girls and I got ready to go see Pinkalicious the play.  Anyone with girls has probably read this adorable book.  A young girl, who loves Pink, eats so many pink cupcakes that she wakes up with pink skin and hair.  Will she be normal again?

We met up with some of our girl scout friends before the play for some pink lemonade and pink cupcakes.  Yummy!

The girls with Pinkalicious' parents.

After the play, the girls got some autographs and pictures with some of the stars.  They had so much fun and it is such a great way to introduce the arts to kids.  If you are in the Orlando area, I highly suggest checking out the Orlando Repertory Theatre.

Pinkalicious' best friend, Allison.
