First Day of School

Here we are again, the first day of school!  Time sure flies when you get to sleep in.  Of course it seems like I kept getting to bed later and later every night, so I never really got any more sleep.  I actually think I was getting less. 

We've been trying to get the girls back on schedule and in bed at a decent time.  We've been getting them in bed earlier, however they wouldn't always stay in bed.  I'm sure it won't take them long to get back on track.  After waking up at 6am a few times I'm sure they will be begging to get to bed. 

They have been so excited to get back to school and looking forward to it for weeks.  They miss their friends and they actually like school, which makes it so much easier on me.  My oldest daughter has always loved school and is a great student.  She finishes homework easily without any help.  My middle daughter is starting first grade, so we will see how she adjusts to having homework every day. 

My oldest has had her outfit for the first day picked out for a while now, but when she talked me into buying her these sneaker boots, she had to change it to go with the shoes.  Not that they have that many choices since they wear uniforms.  She was quite excited though.  I guess crazy boots are one way to show your personality while still wearing uniforms!  That girl definitely has her own crazy sense of style.  Love it!  While my middle daughter isn't as flashy, she definitely has that sassy attitude covered!

While the girls have been excited to go back to school, I'm not sure how their younger sister is going to feel about it.  She's gotten used to having her big sisters around to play and dance with.  It's going to be an adjustment for her, although she may enjoy running the house again.

It's crazy how much these kids grow over the year.  Be sure to take a photo of your little one on the first day of school.  It is always fun to compare it to a picture of them on the last day of school.  How fast they change!  Enjoying every minute of it as they grow.  Hoping my girls have a wonderful day of school.  We will be making it a full day with their first day of tap and hip hop in the afternoon.  Another fun packed summer ends as a busy year begins!
