There's a great Antique Center called Renninger's about 25 minutes from my house in a small town called Mt. Dora. It's a nice quiet drive on a two lane road that wanders through a couple of small towns. It feels so far away, but is really so close. They have a great indoor market, but every third weekend of the month they have an antiques fair where more antique dealers open booths to sell their wares.

The hubby and I have fun exploring and finding unique items. He is always on the lookout for beer brewing stuff and just those unusual pieces. I love to look for retro modern touches for the house and unique jewelry pieces. It was hot out, so we alternated between the indoor market and the outdoor booths. There is also a flea market in the same area, but we didn't make it over there this trip.
We saw so many pieces we were interested in, but not too many that we needed to buy. We were hoping to find a dresser to modify into a new bathroom vanity, but no luck this trip. We didn't come home empty handed though.
I was able to find a fun costume ring for only $3. I love this big statement piece and the price was right!
For another $3, the girls came home with an interesting metal lizard to add to the Fairy House that Papa built them. We are in the process of painting and setting up the house and garden, so be on the lookout for the big reveal when we get it done! They can't wait to get it all set up so the Fairies will come!
Although we didn't find the piece that we were looking for, I know that it is out there. So in the meantime, we will have fun searching for it and discovering other little treasures along the way!
