Open Circle Elastic Bracelet

Open Circle Bracelets are all the trend right now.  Simple, but super cute!  I was looking at some on the Internet the other day and they were selling for over $30, for a simple elastic bracelet.  I knew I could make my own for much less, so I did just that.  I actually made two bracelets for about $1.50!

I found a small little packet of silver circle charms.  It came with two large circles and about six small ovals.  Perfect to make two open circle bracelets and still have leftover small ovals to save for another project.  All the other supplies I used were things I already had on hand.  To make an elastic circle bracelet you will need a large circle charm, two skinny elastic hair rubber bands, and a large jump ring.

Loop one of your hair bands through the circle charm.  Put one end of the hair band in and through the opening of the other end.  Pull it tight.  Do the same thing with your other hair band on the other side of your circle charm.

Open up your jump ring and hook it through the ends of both of your hair bands.  Use your pliers to close the ring.  Your bracelet is now ready to slip on.  It should fit, but not be too tight.  You can make it a little larger by adding another small hair rubber band to one side or adding another jump ring.  I love the elastic since it is so easy to slip on.  I'll have to look for some more elastic hair bands in different colors to make another bracelet.

Since I did have two another circle charm, I made a second bracelet.  For this one I used skinny ribbon.  It is basically the same process.

You will need two pieces of ribbon.  Fold them in half and then wrap them around each side of your circle charm, looping the ribbon through itself.  Pull tight.  Simply tie the ribbons to wear.

Both of these bracelets are super easy to make.  I made both of them in less than 10 minutes.
Have fun and happy crafting!

  11. couch with a vintage map of downtown Annapolis! I already ordered the map and I got it quite large as its a large wall to fill. It’s 68×44 inches. I was just about to order 6 foot dowels and i realized, will those be too heavy to go on the ends? Any suggestions? Maybe I should just frame it? I really love the pull down style those.lisa

  16. This is a difficult time in our country, of which most of us haven't ever seen. The only ones that can draw a comparison from the 1918 pandemic are mostly gone. History is not to be ignored. What lesson will we all learn from this? This could be our Great Awakening from years of plenty.create your own paint by number
