11 Question Survery! - Learn a bit about me

I've been tagged!
I met Amy, who blogs at One Artsy Mama, when she agreed to do a guest post on my site.
She sent me an email this week, "tagging" me and inviting me to participate in this fun throwback survey!  I've never done one of these before, so it sounded like fun!

Here's how it works:
RULES
**You must post the rules {?!}
**Answer the 11 questions that the tagger posted for you & then create 11 questions to ask the people you’ve tagged
**Tag 11 people and link them in your post
**Let them know you have tagged them

Hope you enjoy getting to know a few things about me!
First up, the questions Amy asked me:

1. If you could have coffee with any one person, living or not, who would it be?
This question is always a tough one for me.  I'm not a big history fan and I don't really have any questions for celebrities really.  It would be fun to have coffee with one of the big time craft bloggers and pick their brain.  But who I would really like to have coffee with is my Husband!  No kids, not having to rush, just a nice quiet relaxing time with my hubby.  We just don't get enough of those anymore.

2. What is one quality you'd like to develop in yourself?

Although I do have this quality, I think it is something I want to constantly work on.  That is patience.  It's something you constantly need with three little girls and I'm sure it doesn't get any easier when they become teenagers!  So although I know I have some patience it is something I would like to have even more of.

3. What talent do you wish you had?

I wish I had the ability to sing.  I think it is something you are born to do (or not).  I was clearly not!  Although I'm sure I sound great in the car when no one else is around!

4. If you won the lottery {mega-millions}, what would you do with the money?

This is one of my hubby's favorite questions to discuss.  We would love to buy a bigger house.  One with a craft room and a theatre/game room for the hubby.  We would set up college funds for the girls.  After a tiny shopping spree, we would probably just live like we are now, but with the occasional babysitter and housekeeper!

5. Which superpower would you choose: the ability to fly, the ability to read minds, or x-ray vision, and why?

I would choose the ability to fly!  I'm sure it might be helpful to read someone's mind occasionally, but it would probably be best to Not know what they are thinking all the time!  Even if I had x-ray vision, I'm not sure I would know what I was looking at.  Plus flying would just be fun!!

6. Share a nickname you have and how you got it.

My nickname is actually my maiden name, which is This (pronounced Teese).  In college there were three Melissa's on my soccer team, so I was called my by last name and it has just stuck.  All my soccer friends and people that I know through soccer still call me This.

I'm #16 on the left.

7. If you could close your eyes right now and be anywhere in the world, where would you choose?
I would love to be on Palm Island, Florida where we have spent a couple of vacations.  It is so relaxing and peaceful.  We spent our days just searching for shells and sharks teeth.  So beautiful!

8. What is your favorite season and why?

Despite the crazy heat here in Florida, I'd say my favorite season is summer!  It's great to have the kids home and be able to do fun things with them.  There's no set schedule for us and we can make it up as we go.  Plus we don't have to wake up at 6am, which is my favorite part!

9. If you could only eat one dessert for the rest of your life, what would it be?

I am such a sweets person, so this is a tough question for me.  How can I deny all those yummy desserts forever?  I love creme brulee, pecan pie, fudge, anything with frosting...the list goes on.  If I could only pick one thing, I think I would go with ice cream!  So many yummy flavors, you just can't go wrong.

10. Which sense would be the hardest for you to lose: sight, hearing, taste, or smell?  Why?

I think the hardest sense to lose would be my sight, just because it would be so hard to adjust to.  It would be so sad to not be able to see my kids' faces again or the ocean or be able to take photos.

11. If you could relive one moment or day in your life, what would it be and why?

I've made mistakes in my life, but all of them have led me to where I am now, so I can't say I'd change any of those moments.  I'd probably just want to relive over a great moment instead.  I can't pick between the births of my three girls, so I'd have to say my wedding day.  It was so fun, but it went by so fast.  I'd go back so that I could try and make it last just a little longer!

Now here are my eleven questions!

1.  What is your favorite thing to do on weekends?

2.  What is your favorite piece of clothing to wear and why?

3.  What is your secret talent (big or small) that everyone might not know about?

4.  What is your favorite food?

5.  What is your favorite TV show?

6.  What is your biggest fear?

7.  What is the last thing you ate?

8.  Besides your family and pets, what would be the first thing that you would save if there was a fire?

9.  What did you want to be when you grew up?

10.  What is the last book you read (or are currently reading)?

11.  What is your favorite sport or physical activity to do or play?
